Industry organizations on IRIS.
Registration is open to any organization whose projects affect Indigenous territories. IRIS verifies each claim before approval; a project reaches a Nation only when that Nation consents.

- 01You register the organization.
You give the organization’s details and your standing to claim it — your role, and an address IRIS can verify it against. Registering also claims the org-admin seat.
- 02IRIS verifies the claim by hand.
The IRIS team confirms your standing off-platform, typically against a company email or website. Expect a decision within two business days; it arrives by email and is recorded on your home page. Nothing further is needed from you.
- 03You author a project.
A project is a container for the modules you intend to offer, and for the territory it affects. You may draft and edit it freely — it is held internally until you submit it.
- 04IRIS reviews the project once.
A one-time review for fit. Approved, or returned with a reviewer’s note you can act on and re-submit. The note is preserved in the audit either way.
Modules cannot be enabled and Nations cannot be invited until a project is approved.
- 05You enable a module and invite Nations.
Each Nation is invited separately, and each invitation is a request. IRIS suggests the Nations your project’s footprint touches; who you actually ask is yours to choose.
- 06A Chief decides — or does not.
The Chief accepts or declines, and on accepting sets who in the community may take part. A Nation may also withdraw later, which closes anything still open.
An invitation that is never answered stays unanswered. You are asking, not obliging.
- 07What comes back is the Nation’s to give.
Participation produces a record the community owns. A Chief may draft an insight report from it and choose to disclose it to you — and may change that decision afterwards. Your every view of a disclosed report is logged and shown back to them.
You never see member identities, the questions asked, or anything a Nation has not chosen to disclose.
